Eli Lilly ( LLY ) said that its experimental drug Verzenio, combined with endocrine therapy, showed a statistically significant improvement in overall survival in patients with a certain type of breast cancer, compared to endocrine therapy alone, in a phase 3 study. Eli Lilly ( LLY ) shares were up 0.9% premarket.

Elanco Animal Health ( ELAN ) will replace Sarepta Therapeutics (SRPT) in the S&P MidCap 400 index, and Sarepta will replace Brookline Bancorp (BRKL) in the S&P SmallCap 600, effective prior to the opening of trading on Sept. 2, S&P Dow Jones Indices said late Tuesday. Elanco Animal Health ( ELAN ) stock was up 5.7%.
