01:22 PM EDT, 04/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mostly higher Tuesday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) steady and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) climbing 1.6%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 0.1%.

In corporate news, Alphabet's (GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) said Tuesday it has entered into collaborations with several companies as it expands the services of its generative artificial intelligence technology. Best Buy ( BBY ) and Accenture ( ACN ) will deploy Google Cloud's generative AI features for their customer services, Google ( GOOG ) said. Alphabet shares gained 1.3%.
