09:03 AM EST, 01/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were edging higher pre-bell Tuesday with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) advancing by 0.3% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF ( XSD ) up 0.8% recently.

Getty Images Holdings ( GETY ) and Shutterstock ( SSTK ) said they have signed a merger deal to form a combined entity valued at about $3.7 billion. Getty shares were up over 45% and Shutterstock ( SSTK ) shares rose 24% premarket.

Logitech G's Streamlabs (LOGI) said it is collaborating with Nvidia ( NVDA ) and Inworld AI to create an AI-powered streaming assistant designed to simplify live streaming. Logitech International ( LOGI ) shares were up over 3% pre-bell.

United Microelectronics ( UMC ) said its December revenue increased by 11.7% to 18.97 billion New Taiwan dollars ($580.1 million). United Microelectronics ( UMC ) shares fell by more than 2% premarket.
