April 27 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 0.83% at 77,303.63,
while the broader NSE Nifty 50 index advanced 0.81% to
24,092.70, led by a rebound in information technology stocks and
gains in Sun Pharma following its deal to acquire U.S.-based
Organon, as investors tracked the Middle East situation and
corporate earnings.
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee rose 0.06% versus the U.S. dollar to
94.19, as dollar sales by state-run banks cushioned the pressure
from higher oil prices on the currency after the U.S.-Iran talks
stalled.
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at
96.7725 rupees, with the yield nearly flat at 6.9511%.
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate was
nearly flat at 5.8925%, while the five-year swap rate
rose 1 basis point to 6.51%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate was at 4.6% and the
overnight TREPS rate was at 4.5%.
