Market At Close | LKP Securities' Kunal Shah On Nifty 50

"The bears have maintained a strong grip on the index, resulting in significant selling pressure. This pressure led to a breakdown of the key support level at 19500.With the support at 19500 breached, the next significant support level was at 19200. If the index fails to sustain above this level, it may experience further declines toward the 19000-18800 range.The overall sentiment for the index remains bearish. As long as the index stays below the 19600 mark, the view remains bearish, and any upward movements are viewed as selling opportunities," says Kunal Shah, Senior Technical & Derivative analyst at LKP Securities.

Dipan Mehta, Director, Elixir Equities on Laurus Labs: "I sense that it is reaching a nice zone where one can look at seriously in terms of buying with a longer-term view. It is coming to a level where one could look at it as a value play."

On Ipca Labs, he says, "Very positive on Ipca Laboratories. Valuations also are not that rich at this point of time. On the whole, we are positive on pharma stocks, this quarter numbers will be exceptionally good. So from that point of view, one could certainly look at Ipca from a trading perspective as well as a long-term investment idea as well."

Stock Market LIVE Updates | Nifty Midcap Slips Below 39,000 For First Time Since August 31, Smallcap Stocks Under Selling Pressure

The broader market indices kept going down in Monday's (October 23) trade, with the Nifty Midcap 100 index slipping more than 800 points, below 39,000 to hit its lowest level for the first time since August 31. The decline was spooked by concerns about the long implication of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and a weak start to the earnings season.

At 3 pm, the Nifty Midcap 100 was trading at 38,988.25, down over 2%, or 890 points from its previous close. The Nifty Smallcap 100 tumbled 3% or nearly 400 points to 12,535.15.

Aurobindo Pharma share price has snapped its five-day losing streak after it announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Eugia Pharma Specialties received the final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market the testosterone cypionate injection.

The company has received the approval for 100 mg/ml and 200 mg/ml in multi-dose vial and 200 mg/ml in single-dose vial of the injection. This is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug, depo-testosterone injection, 100 mg/ml and 200 mg/ml of Pfizer Inc, the company said in a statement.
