Benchmark indices are likely to remain range-bound on Wednesday, tracking global cues, as investors remain cautious ahead of the RBI policy decision due later this week. According to a CNBC-TV18 poll, RBI is expected to cut the key repo rate by 25 basis points. India's manufacturing growth fell to a six-month low in March due to weak demand.

On Tuesday, the markets consolidated with the BSE Sensex closing above 39,000 levels for the first time ever, driven by realty, auto, and technology stocks. The BSE Sensex Sensex rose 184.78 points to end at record closing high of 39,056.65 while the Nifty 50 gained 44 points to close at 11,713.20.

Among stocks, Ashwani Gujral is bullish on Oriental Bank of Commerce, SBI, Yes Bank, Bajaj Finance and HDFC, while, Sudarshan Sukhani prefers buying Asian Paints, BHEL and TCS. He has a sell call on Ceat. Mitessh Thakkar is positive on Bharti Airtel, GAIL and NIIT Tech and negative on Britannia Industries.
