02:13 PM EST, 03/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Visionary Holdings ( GV ) disclosed Friday that it recently secured an order for 12,000 new energy vehicles. These vehicles will be specifically supplied to the taxi market in Hong Kong to meet the growing demand for green transportation in the city.

Shares soared 25% as intraday trading volume catapulted to more than 68 million from a daily average of about 5.7 million.

GEN Restaurant ( GENK ) shares surged 32% amid heavy trading after the company said overnight its 2024 sales reached the highest annual level since going public, following a 21% year-over-year surge in Q4 revenue.

More than 1.9 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 65,000.

American Public Education ( APEI ) reported Q4 earnings and revenue late Thursday, beating the average analyst estimates compiled by FactSet.

Shares advanced 18%, with intraday trading volume rising to over 235,000 compared with a daily average of about 98,000.
