02:23 PM EDT, 03/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Solidion Technology ( STI ) said Wednesday its lithium-sulfur batteries have reached a cell energy density of 380 Wh/kg.

The company said Li-S batteries possess a theoretical energy density much higher than 600 Wh/kg and are the only practical energy storage solution capable of doubling the energy density of current lithium-ion cells. Solidion's ( STI ) "immediate" next target is hitting 450 Wh/kg.

Shares surged 46% after intraday trading volume soared to more than 533.6 million from a daily average of about 4.78 million.

Groupon ( GRPN ) reported late Tuesday Q4 results, and Chief Executive Officer Dusan Senkypl said that in 2024, the company "successfully executed our transformation strategy, returning North America Local to growth and generating positive free cash flow for the first time since exiting the pandemic."

After a "bumpy" Q3, the company "rebounded nicely in the fourth quarter, with North America local billings growing 8%," Senkypl said in a statement.

Shares soared 41% as intraday trading volume catapulted to over 8.55 million from a daily average of about 946,000.

Synchronoss Technologies ( SNCR ) reported late Tuesday it swung to a Q4 adjusted profit amid an increase in net revenue.

Shares advanced 25%, with intraday trading volume rising to more than 337,000 compared with a daily average of about 49,000.
