09:04 AM EDT, 10/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US equity futures were flat ahead of Wednesday's opening bell as traders looked ahead to earnings from Tesla (TSLA) while monitoring the Ukraine peace negotiations.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were flat, S&P 500 futures were up 0.1%, while Nasdaq futures were down 0.2%.
Tesla is scheduled to release quarterly earnings after the closing bell.
President Donald Trump told reporters Tuesday he does not want to have a "wasted meeting" after the proposed Ukraine peace summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest, Hungary, was put on hold.
Oil prices were higher, with front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude up 2% at $62.53 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude 2.2% higher at $58.49 per barrel.
In equities, shares of Thermo Fisher Scientific ( TMO ) were 2.2% higher pre-bell after the company reported higher fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings and revenue.
On the losing side, Netflix ( NFLX ) stock was down 7% after the streaming company reported late Tuesday Q3 earnings that trailed analysts' estimates. Texas Instruments ( TXN ) shares were 8% lower after the company reported late Tuesday fiscal Q3 earnings that missed analysts' estimates, while its fiscal Q4 earnings guidance also trailed projections.
