US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St opens lower on last day of quarter as government shutdown looms

Sept 30 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened

lower on Tuesday, the final day of the third quarter, as

investors fretted over likely delays in the release of key

economic data due to a potential U.S. government shutdown.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 33.4 points, or

0.07%, at the open to 46,282.63. The S&P 500 fell 5.0

points, or 0.08%, at the open to 6,656.19​, while the Nasdaq

Composite dropped 10.8 points, or 0.05%, to 22,580.359.
