Aug 6 (Reuters) - Wall Street opened higher on
Wednesday, as ongoing optimism about Federal Reserve interest
rate cuts kept markets afloat and investors assessed a fresh
wave of corporate earnings.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 84.9 points, or
0.19%, at the open to 44196.61. The S&P 500 rose 10.1
points, or 0.16%, to 6309.3, while the Nasdaq Composite
rose 38.7 points, or 0.18%, to 20955.222.
