Kaliaganj is an Assembly constituency in the Uttar Dinajpur district, in the North Bengal region of West Bengal. The Kaliaganj constituency went to polls on April 22, 2021.

The assembly seat is reserved for the Scheduled Caste category.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Kaliaganj was won by Pramatha Nath Ray of CPIM. Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Pramatha Nath Ray of INC. In the 2016 assembly polls, Pramatha Nath Ray garnered 112868 votes, securing over 52.58 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 46602 votes.

In percentage terms, the victory margin was 21.71 percent. The constituency polled 215687 votes in the 2016 West Bengal assembly polls with a voter turnout of 86.07 percent. The Kaliaganj constituency has a literacy level of 60.13 percent. A total of 7 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
