The counting of votes began on Sunday to elect a new 140-member Kerala Legislative Assembly. Early trends indicate that the Communist Party of India's K Rajan is leading.
Ollur is an Assembly constituency in the Thrissur district, in the Cochin region of Kerala. The Ollur constituency went to the polls on April 6, 2021.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Ollur was won by Adv. K. Rajan of CPI. Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by M.P. Vincent of INC. In the 2016 assembly polls, Adv. K. Rajan garnered 71666 votes, securing over 47.55 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 13248 votes.
In percentage terms, the victory margin was 8.79 percent. The constituency polled 150727 votes in the 2016 Kerala assembly polls with a voter turnout of 77.93 percent. The Ollur constituency has a literacy level of 95.32 percent. A total of 9 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
