Flipkart employees shocked by sudden exit of Binny Bansal: report
Nov 14, 2018 12:33 AM

The news of Binny Bansal resigning as chairman and CEO from Flipkart on 'misconduct' allegations shocked the employees of the e-tailer, TheTimes of India reported.

"Everyone is surprised since there was no buzz of anything like this within the organisation," a current employee of the company told the paper.

Several of Flipkart employees told the newspaper that they have been on chats and calls to see if they could get any further information on Bansal's sudden exit.

"Some employees close to Binny swear by him, others are speculating about the merits of the case," another employee told the paper.

Kalyan Krishnamurthy, the chief executive of Flipkart, reassured the employees that it would be business as usual for them. "I wanted to personally let you know that there will be no changes in our operating processes, or to the mission of the company as a result of this news," Krishnamurthy said in an email seen by the newspaper.
