Ecommerce major, Flipkart, has partnered with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance to offer smartphone protection. The company will offer customised insurance solutions for all leading mobile phone brands sold on its platform and this offer will be available from October 10, 2018.

Bengaluru-based company will offer cash payout option or free pick up, service and drop for the customers. The insurance will be valid for a year and will cover accidental, screen and liquid damage and theft. The customers can buy the insurance plan when they purchase the mobile.

The insurance plan starts from Rs 99 onwards and will be activated from the day of delivery. For claims, customers can reach out to Flipkart via the app, email or phone calls.
