May 23 (Reuters) - Applied Materials ( AMAT ) received a
subpoena from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of
Industry and Security (BIS) in May, requesting information
relating to certain China customer shipments, it disclosed in a
filing on Thursday.
The semiconductor equipment supplier was subpoenaed by the
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in February.
Applied Materials ( AMAT ), which supplies chipmaking tools to
Samsung Electronics ( SSNLF ) and Taiwan Semiconductor
Manufacturing Co ( TSM ), reported that 43% of its total
revenue came from China in the second quarter.
