KKR-backed Frontier Tower to acquire over 400 telco towers in Philippines

Dec 6 (Reuters) - Frontier Tower Associates Philippines

will acquire more than 400 telecommunication (telco) towers from

CREI Management Services in the Philippines, the companies said

on Thursday.

Frontier, a KKR portfolio company, specializes in investing

in the construction and management of telecommunication

infrastructure, primarily focusing on towers and associated

assets.

The deal adds over 400 towers to Frontier's nearly

5,000-tower portfolio in the Philippines, the companies added in

a joint announcement.

The firms did not disclose the financial details of the

deal.

CREI will retain its presence in the Philippines through its

energy service activities and affiliated engineering,

procurement, and construction services.

The deal is expected to close by the first quarter of 2025,

following necessary approvals including from the Philippine

Competition Commission.
