Lyft, Baidu to Collaborate on Autonomous Vehicles in Europe; Shares Up Pre-Bell

08:47 AM EDT, 08/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Lyft ( LYFT ) and Baidu ( BIDU ) plan to collaborate to deploy Baidu's ( BIDU ) Apollo Go autonomous vehicles across key European markets via Lyft's ( LYFT ) platform, the companies said Monday.

The initial deployments are planned for Germany and the UK in 2026, pending regulatory approvals, with an aim to scale up to thousands of vehicles in following years, the companies said.

The partners plan to use Baidu's ( BIDU ) fully-electric RT6 vehicles, operating on the Apollo autonomous driving foundation model, or ADFM, technology, the companies said.

Lyft ( LYFT ) shares were 3% higher in premarket trading, while Baidu ( BIDU ) was up 2.8%.
