Russian rouble weakens against the dollar in thin holiday trading

MOSCOW, April 29 (Reuters) - The Russian rouble weakened

against the U.S. dollar on Monday with low liquidity and

activity due to Russia's May holidays.

At 0715 GMT, the rouble was 0.47% lower at

92.83 to the dollar.

Against the euro, the rouble fell 0.62% to

99.52 and dropped 0.27% to 12.73 against the yuan

.

Brent crude oil, a global benchmark for Russia's

main export, fell 1.1% to $88.51 a barrel.

Russian stock indexes were mixed. The dollar-denominated RTS

index fell 0.39% to 1,177.64. The rouble-based MOEX

Russian index gained 0.12% to 3,470.17.

($1 = 92.8300 roubles)
