07:56 AM EDT, 05/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- One person died and others were injured on board a Singapore Airlines flight Monday from London to Singapore that experienced severe turbulence, the airline said in post on social media site X.

The plane, a Boeing ( BA ) 777-300ER, was forced to divert to Bangkok, Thailand where it landed "at 1545hrs local time on 21 May 2024," the statement read.
