10:41 AM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- 3M ( MMM ) said Monday it is planning to more than double the US manufacturing capacity of its Expanded Beam Optical interconnect technology to meet growing AI data center demand.

Financial terms of the planned expansion weren't provided.

The expansion will include the addition of new advanced manufacturing equipment and production space, the company said.
