At Qualcomm's third annual Snapdragon Tech Summit in Hawaii, US this year, the company announced the launched of its next generation chipset Snapdragon 855. This chipset would power first wave of 5G smartphones in 2019.

5G networks will become a reality in parts of North America, Europe, China, Japan, Australia, South East Asia and South Korea in 2019, while India still is playing catch up, there are a few lessons we can learn from these developed economies.
