Banks are in the process of identifying retail loans, which need to be restructured. The proposed loan restructuring will enable banks to extend the term of retail loans by two years and this will be done without increasing customers' EMI amount. CS Setty, MD, SBI shared his views and outlook.
Almost 95 percent of retail loans will be eligible for restructuring, almost the whole book will be eligible, he said. In the September quarter, SBI doesn’t expect a great amount of deterioration in the asset quality.
