AAR Wins Up to $1.2 Billion Navy Contract for Aircraft Engine Overhaul

04:28 PM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AAR (AIR) said Thursday it received a five-year indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity contract from the US Navy's Naval Air Systems Command to carry out engine maintenance and repair work on its P-8A Poseidon aircraft fleet.

The contract has an aggregate ceiling value of about $1.2 billion, according to AAR.

AAR and its partner Delta TechOps will provide program and supply chain management, engineering support, and maintenance and repair services starting in October, the company added.

The contract is also anticipated to boost the amount of engine component sales within the company's part supply division, AAR added.

Shares of AAR were up 1.4% in after-hours trading.
