08:38 AM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Abcourt Mines ( ABMBF ) reported Wednesday the most recent channel sampling results from three mechanical strippings conducted in the vicinity of the Cartwright deposit on the Flordin property in Quebec.
Highlights include 22.7 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 7 meters including 161.9 g/t gold over 0.5 meters.
The company said a new petrographic study confirmed the presence of gold grains in pyrite, while noting that gold is usually spatially associated with pyrites and is sometimes free and located in quartz veins and veinlets.
Abcourt added that its recent work allows it to suggest that the South Zone could continue beyond the Flordin deposit and could be continuous to the Cartwright deposi for more than 2 kilometers.
