08:40 AM EDT, 10/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Abcourt Mines ( ABMBF ) on Wednesday said it will embark on a 3,500 meter drilling program to enhance the deep mining potential of the Sleeping Giant mine in Quebec.

The company said a 3D model of the mineral resource estimate two years ago showed several high-grade mineralized veins towards the lower levels of the mine, while last year's Preliminary Economic Assessment made it possible to optimize several production sites in the same sector.

Abcourt is looking at the possibility of adding a second drill for this campaign.
