Acadia Healthcare Shares Tumble After Q3 Revenue Miss, 2024 Guidance Cut

12:55 PM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Acadia Healthcare ( ACHC ) shares were down over 16% in recent Thursday trading, a day after it posted lower-than-expected Q3 revenue and trimmed its full-year 2024 guidance to levels below analyst estimates.

The company reported Q3 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $0.91 per diluted share, unchanged from a year earlier. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.90.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $815.6 million, up from $750.3 million a year earlier. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $819.5 million.

The company said it now expects full-year 2024 adjusted EPS of $3.35 to $3.45, compared with the prior range of $3.45 and $3.65. Analysts expect $3.49.

Revenue for the full year is now expected at between $3.15 billion and $3.17 billion, versus the company's prior outlook of $3.18 billion to $3.23 billion. Analysts are looking for $3.19 billion.
