04:22 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Accenture ( ACN ) said late Monday it has acquired Aristal, a Malaysia-based consulting firm, marking its first banking-focused acquisition in the country.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition strengthens Accenture's ( ACN ) capability to help banks upgrade their core systems, improve operations, and manage large-scale changes such as mergers and system transitions.

Accenture ( ACN ) said Malaysia is expected to follow its regional peers in upgrading core platforms to keep pace with the complexity of mergers, acquisitions, and regulatory demands. It said the global core banking market is projected to reach $28.8 billion by 2027.
