09:14 AM EDT, 09/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Accenture ( ACN ) reported better-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter results on Thursday, but the consulting firm issued a full-year earnings outlook below market estimates at the midpoint.
Adjusted earnings are projected to come in between $13.52 and $13.90 per share for the ongoing fiscal year, representing an increase of 5% to 8% from the prior year's figure of $12.93. The guidance range's midpoint of $13.71 is below the current consensus on FactSet for non-GAAP EPS of $13.78. The stock slipped 0.5% in the most recent premarket activity.
Revenue is pegged to grow by 2% to 5% in local currency for fiscal 2026. The metric is expected to rise by 3% to 6%, excluding a headwind of 1% to 1.5% from the company's US federal business, it said. Foreign exchange is forecast to have a positive impact of about 2% on full-year results.
The company plans to increase its headcount across all three of its markets, including the US and Europe, in the current fiscal year, reflecting business demand, Chief Executive Julie Sweet said during an earnings call, according to a FactSet transcript.
For the three months through August, Accenture's ( ACN ) adjusted EPS rose to $3.03 from $2.79 the year before, topping the Street's view for $2.98. Revenue advanced 7% to $17.6 billion, ahead of the average analyst estimate of $17.38 billion. Revenue inclined 4.5% in local currency.
Consulting revenue increased 6% to $8.77 billion, while sales in the managed services division climbed 8% to $8.82 billion. New bookings grew 6% to $21.31 billion, comprising $8.87 billion in consulting and $12.44 billion in managed services. Bookings related to Accenture's ( ACN ) generative artificial intelligence offering amounted to $1.8 billion for the quarter.
For the ongoing three-month period, Accenture ( ACN ) expects revenue of $18.1 billion to $18.75 billion, with a foreign-exchange tailwind of about 1%. In local currency, the guidance reflects a growth range of 1% to 5%. Analysts currently forecast revenue of $18.51 billion for the quarter.
The company expects Accenture Federal Services to contract by mid-teens during the quarter, Chief Financial Officer Angie Park said on the call.
