Foreign exchange is forecast to be a 0.5% headwind to the firm's results in the year, compared with the prior outlook for a positive impact of 1.5%.

For the three months through Nov. 30, Accenture's ( ACN ) revenue rose to $17.69 billion from $16.22 billion a year earlier, topping the Street's view for $17.15 billion. The company's earnings jumped 16% year over year to $3.59, surpassing analysts' $3.40 estimate.

"Our strategy to lead reinvention for clients while continuing to invest in our business has given us a strong start to fiscal 2025," Chief Executive Julie Sweet said in a statement. Consulting revenue advanced 7% to $9.05 billion, while sales in the managed services division climbed 11% to $8.64 billion. New bookings ticked up 1% to $18.7 billion comprising $9.22 billion in consulting and $9.48 billion in managed services.
