07:05 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Accenture ( ACN ) plans to set up a new campus in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and is expected to add 12,000 jobs there, Reuters reported Tuesday, quoting three sources familiar with the matter.

Accenture ( ACN ) is planning to leverage a new policy implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government that offers leased land at 0.99 India rupees ($0.0112) per acre to companies willing to create jobs, the report said.

Accenture ( ACN ) has sought 10 acres of land in the eastern port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, the report said.

Accenture ( ACN ) employs more than 300,000 people in India, out of a total 790,000 worldwide, the report said.

Accenture ( ACN ) did not immediately respond to an MT Newswires' request for comment.
