11:26 AM EDT, 05/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Accenture ( ACN ) unit Accenture Federal Services said Thursday it was awarded a $789 million contract to support the US Navy's maritime forces in conducting cybersecurity operations across the SHARKCAGE environment.

The SHARKCAGE environment encompasses the US Navy's shared set of systems aimed at safeguarding a "single, common, continuous security perimeter," according to the company.

The contract covers a base ordering period of five years, with a potential five-year extension, Accenture Federal Services said.
