11:05 AM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Accuray ( ARAY ) said Wednesday that the Chinese National Medical Products Administration has approved the registration dossier for the Accuray Precision Treatment Planning System, or TPS.

When used in combination with the CNNC-Accuray joint venture Tomo C radiation therapy system, the Accuray Precision TPS will provide medical care teams with a new option to deliver "extremely precise and accurate radiotherapy treatments" and ultimately expand access to care for more cancer patients in China, Accuray ( ARAY ) said.

Shares of the company rose 5.7% in recent trading.
