Aug 11 (Reuters) - The acting governor of the Kursk
region that borders with Ukraine and where Moscow's forces are
fighting intense battles against Kyiv's troops on Sunday ordered
speedier evacuation of civilian population in areas of risk.
Alexei Smirnov, the acting governor, said on the Telegram
messaging app that he had "instructed" the head of the Belovsky
district of the region, in Kursk's southwest, to "speed up" the
implementation of the orders to evacuate.
