10:21 AM EDT, 10/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Adobe (ADBE) said Monday it has launched the Firefly Video Model in limited public beta, expanding its generative artificial intelligence capabilities to video editing.

The Firefly Video Model is designed to be commercially safe, according to the company. Generations are free during the limited public beta, which is aimed at gathering feedback from professionals, the company added.

Adobe also announced enhancements to Firefly models, including 4x faster image generation and new capabilities integrated into Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Express and Premiere Pro.

The new capabilities, announced at the Adobe MAX conference, aim to simplify workflows for creative professionals across Creative Cloud applications, the company said.

The offerings include generative extend tool, text to video and image to video, Firefly Image 3 enhancements, and generative workspace in Photoshop and Firefly Vector Model in Illustrator, according to the company statement.

Adobe shares were up 3.4% in early trading.
