Advance Auto Parts' Fiscal Q3 Adjusted Loss Narrows, Net Sales Fall; 2024 Net Sales Guidance Lowered

07:25 AM EST, 11/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Advance Auto Parts ( AAP ) reported a fiscal Q3 adjusted loss Thursday of $0.04 per share, narrowing from a loss of $1.19 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected earnings of $0.54 per share.

Net sales for the quarter ended Oct. 5 were $2.15 billion, down from $2.22 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $2.67 billion.

For the full-year 2024, the company said it expects adjusted diluted loss of $0.60 to breakeven figure. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect a normalized EPS of $1.67.

Net sales for the year are now expected to be roughly $9 billion, down from its previous range of $11.15 billion to $11.25 billion. Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $9.69 billion.

Shares of the company were down 7% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
