Advanced Micro Devices Q2 Results Seen in Line With Estimates, Oppenheimer Says

11:02 AM EDT, 07/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) is expected to report Q2 results in line with estimates, Oppenheimer said Thursday in a report.

Non-GAAP earnings of $0.66 per diluted share on net revenue of $5.7 billion are forecast by Oppenheimer. Results are expected in late July to early August.

"Upside seems limited" as weakness in the gaming and embedded segments offsets growth in the data center and client segments, the report said.

Gaming is expected to fall 61% from a year earlier with embedded down 42%, while the data center segment is projected to double with the client segment up 46%, Oppenheimer said.

Oppenheimer maintained its perform rating on Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ).

Shares of Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) rose 1.8% in recent Friday trading.
