06:09 AM EDT, 06/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) on Monday unveiled several new chip architectures meant to power AI applications across the gamut of hardware.
At Taiwan's Computex 2024, the company said it was launching the new AMD Instinct MI325X accelerator in Q4 and unveiled what it described as a multigeneration roadmap for future accelerators designed to efficiently handle AI applications.
It also previewed fifth-generation EPYC server processors to be launched in H2.
The company additionally announced its third generation AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series mobile processors for laptops and AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors for desktops.
Separately, it announced the new AMD Radeon PRO W7900 Dual Slot workstation graphics card designed to deliver scalable AI performance for platforms supporting multiple graphic processing units.
