08:00 AM EDT, 09/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AdvanSix ( ASIX ) said on Monday that it was awarded a $12 million grant under the US Department of Agriculture's Fertilizer Production Expansion Program.

The company said it would use the funds to advance a program targeting no net increase in energy consumption or emissions at its ammonium sulfate fertilizer production site in Hopewell, Virginia.

Shares of the company rose 4.2% in premarket activity Monday.
