11:34 AM EDT, 04/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AECOM ( ACM ) said Thursday that it, along with Acciona and MACA Civil, has been selected by the Victoria State Government to design and build Australia's M80 Ring Road Completion between Plenty Road and the North East Link in Watsonia in Melbourne.

AECOM ( ACM ) will be the lead consultant and designer for the alliance and provide technical services, ensuring the planning and execution of permanent works, the company said. Financial details were not provided.

The project is expected to upgrade the M80 Ring Road and link it to the North East Link, diverting 19,000 vehicles daily from Greensborough Road, the company said.

The project includes construction of new lanes, road separations, earthworks, retaining walls, bridges, rail interfaces, intelligent transport systems, urban design, and landscaping, the company said.
