08:25 AM EDT, 08/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AECOM ( ACM ) said Monday it was granted a contract to become the lead designer for the replacement of two bridges along the Bronx River Parkway.

The contract came from the New York State Department of Transportation and is partly supported with more than $200 million in funding through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, AECOM ( ACM ) said.

AECOM ( ACM ) said it will provide design and engineering services for the replacement and widening of the Bronx River Parkway South and Northbound bridges.

The project includes building a new shared-use path, new stormwater drainage facilities, street resurfacing, and updated street designs to make them friendly to disabled pedestrians, according to AECOM ( ACM ).
