10:32 AM EST, 03/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AECOM ( ACM ) said Tuesday that will provide professional services to support Amtrak's development of the $1.5 billion Susquehanna River Rail Bridge Project in Maryland.

Financial details weren't disclosed. AECOM ( ACM ) said it will provide project management, design coordination, stakeholder coordination, and schedule management.

The project aims to improve rail connectivity and safety by replacing an existing 117-year-old bridge with two new bridges for increased capacity and reliability of freight and passenger trains along the Northeast Corridor, AECOM ( ACM ) said.
