Aecom Wins Program Management Contract for Portal Rail Extension Project

07:58 AM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Aecom ( ACM ) said Wednesday it has been selected by the Transbay Joint Powers Authority to provide program and construction management services for the Downtown Rail Extension project known as the Portal in San Francisco, California.

The project, which is phase 2 of the $12 billion Transbay Program, will extend Caltrain service to the Salesforce Transit Center and accommodate future California High-Speed Rail service, according to Aecom ( ACM ).

The company said it will lead the Portal Connectors team, which will finalize the procurement plan this year, design and build the tunnel stations, and integrate the Portal with existing rail systems, among others.
