05:39 PM EDT, 07/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Aecon Group ( AEGXF ) on Wednesday said it swung to a second-quarter loss on weaker revenue and one-time charges
The construction and engineering company said it lost $123.9 million, or $1.99 per share, in the period, compared to a profit of $28.2 million, or $0.38, in the year-prior quarter.
"Aecon ( AEGXF ) recorded a charge of $127.0 million related to the Coastal GasLink Pipeline Project and an additional aggregate charge of $110.0 million related to the three remaining legacy projects," it noted.
Revenue fell 27% to $853.8 million from $1.17 billion.
Aecon ( AEGXF ) shares closed down $0.48 to $14.19 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
