08:01 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aegis Brands ( SCUPF ) , which owns and operates St. Louis Bar & Grill and holds the master franchise for the Sweet Jesus ice cream brand in Canada, reported Friday an 8.3% increase in net income for the second quarter.
The company posted net income of $1.1 million, or $0.01 per share, up from $1.0 million, or $0.01 per share.
Adjusted net income jumped to $805 million, or $0.01 per share, from $522 million, or $0.01 per share. Adjusted EBITDA remained steady at $1.6 million.
System sales fell 4.2% to $35.2 million while same store sales dropped 7.5%.
During the quarter, Aegis said St. Louis opened two new locations: in New Minas, Nova Scotia, and in Oakville, Ontario. St. Louis is also diversifying its revenue through retail channels, Aegis said.
