04:43 AM EST, 12/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aegon ( AEG ) said Wednesday it plans to relocate its head office to the US in a bid to focus more on that market, and to be renamed Transamerica.
The Dutch insurer and asset manager said the planned changes are expected to be completed by Jan. 1, 2028, with estimated relocation costs of around 350 million euros ($407.8 million). The company's common stock will continue to trade on the NYSE and Euronext.
Aegon ( AEG ) also announced a new 400 million-euro share buyback program, effective January 2026.
The company said it will launch a strategic review of Aegon UK and will assess a potential divestment, among other options, for the business.
Aegon ( AEG ) shares were down 7.5% in recent premarket activity.
