11:52 AM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AeroVironment ( AVAV ) said Tuesday it will further develop its Wildcat vertical take-off and landing unmanned aircraft system in partnership with the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

The agency has tapped AeroVironment ( AVAV ) to support its AdvaNced airCraft Infrastructure-Less Launch And RecoverY program, which aims to develop a low-weight, large-payload, long-endurance VTOL UAS to help execute Navy and Marine missions, the company said.

Terms of the partnership weren't disclosed.
