09:41 AM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AeroVironment ( AVAV ) said Monday it was awarded a $240 million order for its long-haul laser communications terminals from an undisclosed customer.

The customer plans to deploy the systems in orbit, marking a milestone that moves the product from the lab to orbit, AeroVironment ( AVAV ) said.

Shares of AeroVironment ( AVAV ) were up more than 2% in early trading Monday.
