07:30 AM EDT, 05/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AES ( AES ) said Wednesday it has signed two long-term power purchase agreements with Meta (META) to deliver 650 megawatts of solar capacity to support Meta's data centers in Texas and Kansas.

The solar projects, set to operate in the Southwest Power Pool market, will help Meta meet its goal of sourcing 100% clean and renewable energy, the company said.

The company noted it has signed 10.1 gigawatts of energy deals with major hyperscalers, including 7.7 GW of PPAs to power data centers.
