04:50 PM EDT, 08/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AEye ( LIDR ) said late Monday it entered a cooperation agreement with Black Sesame Technologies to deliver an artificial intelligence-based obstacle detection and early warning system for railway operations in China.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The collaboration will see AEye ( LIDR ) integrate its Apollo lidar sensor with Black Sesame's automotive-grade computing platforms and perception software to address the safety requirements of high-speed transportation networks, AEye ( LIDR ) said.

Shares of the company rose more than 20% during after-hours activity.
